XAD x Honda Odyssey — Vol. 2
The Odyssey Reset
A fleet interior that had seen it all — including ticks.
When your fleet vehicle is also someone’s daily workhorse, it takes a different kind of beating. This Honda Odyssey had been on the road — really on the road — and it arrived carrying everything that implies. Dust, grime, odours, and yes, ticks. Not metaphorically.
This one required more than a standard interior reset. It required a full sanitation approach — methodical, thorough, and uncompromising. Our B2B fleet clients trust us to turn vehicles around quickly and correctly. This Odyssey got both.
The condition coming in
The Odyssey rolled in with the unmistakable look of a vehicle that had been lived in hard. Caked mats, built-up grime across every surface, embedded debris in the seating, and a stale odour that had settled deep into the cabin. But the standout issue on this one? Ticks. Found in the upholstery — a genuine biohazard situation that demanded steam as the primary weapon, not just a finishing step.
Fleet vehicles don’t wait. This needed to be done right, and it needed to be done now.
What we did
Deep Vacuum
Every row, every fold, every gap beneath the seats and along the rails — pulled out and vacuumed with full intention. A minivan’s cabin has more hiding places than most. We got all of them.
Mat Detail
The mats came out and got their own proper treatment. Heavily soiled from regular use, they were cleaned thoroughly before being returned to a state the driver doesn’t have to be embarrassed by.
Seat Detail
Every seat — all rows — was cleaned in full. Getting into the bolsters, the stitching lines, and the folds where debris and organisms collect. Given the tick situation, nothing was skimmed. Nothing was rushed.
Carpet Shampoo
The carpets were shampooed properly — worked through, not just sprayed. A vehicle that’s been used this way accumulates dirt at a depth that only a real shampoo addresses. The Odyssey’s came out transformed.
Complete Steam Clean 🐛 Tick treatment
This was the centrepiece of the job. Steam penetrates upholstery fibres, seat stitching, vent slats, dash seams, door panel gaps, and console crevices. It kills bacteria, eliminates parasites, and sanitizes without harsh chemical residue. Given the presence of ticks, the steam process was extended and exhaustive — every seat, every panel, every surface that could harbour anything. Panel by panel. Row by row. Top to bottom.
Interior Wipe-Down
The dashboard, door panels, centre console, steering wheel, and all hard surfaces were cleaned and dressed to a clean, consistent finish. Uniform. Streak-free. Done properly.
Fresh Scent Finish
After a job like this, the finish matters. A clean, neutral scent treatment closed things out — not masking anything, because there was nothing left to mask. Just clean.
The result
The Honda Odyssey left in a state that no one would recognize from the drop-off. Clean cabin, fresh scent, sanitized surfaces, zero ticks. Back on the road and back in service — the way a fleet vehicle needs to be.
This is what XAD’s B2B fleet service looks like in practice. It doesn’t matter what condition the vehicle arrives in. The standard stays the same. The care stays the same. Every vehicle. Every time.
